Toyota TRD Pro line gets new shocks and accessories

At the rear, TRD cooked up leaf springs fro the Tundra, coil springs for the 4Runner and progressive-rate off-road leaf springs for the Tacoma.

The three come with 2.5-inch TRD Pro-exclusive Fox Internal Bypass shocks, but each are specifically tuned to suit the individuality of each by Toyota Racing Development engineers. The 2019 model trucks will be available this fall and each of the Pro vehicles will be offered in three colors including Super White, Midnight Black Metallic, and Voodoo Blue. Each of the vehicles gets Fox shocks tuned exactly for it at TRD.

First unveiled in 2014, Toyota's TRD Pro lineup was born from the automaker's rich heritage of off-road performance. The Tacoma TRD Pro uses shocks with 46mm piston and 8 bypass zones combined with springs that lift the front of the truck by an inch.

Goodies also extend to the interior, with a Entune Premium JBL Audio, integrated navigation and custom TRD floor mats.

The major exterior upgrade, and one that has all the Tacoma fans excited about this release, is the new TRD Desert Air intake that will save the 278 horsepower V6 engine from all the dust and silt that could foul it in time. As for the 2019 4Runner TRD Pro, Toyota added a new roof rack, skid plate and 17-inch matte-black alloys wrapped in Nitto Terra Grappler A/T tires. This truck has Rigid Industries fog lights, LED headlights, and LED accent lights.

The 4Runner TRD Pro has the least bypass zones out of all the custom suspension systems.

Toyota has revealed the 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro, the latest in its line of off-road specialized pickup trucks.

To be able to stand upright during the ordeals of off-roading, all three vehicles make use of technologies designed specifically for this objective: Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop Technology (SST).
